As far as a lot of individuals who know me understand, I haven’t been in exactly one spot for more than a couple months at a time the last couple years. However, trying to make New Orleans home has been the simple part. Communicating, interviewing, and securing a Naval Architecture position with any one of these respected firms in the NoLA area has been nothing short of pulling teeth.

But, I don’t sit idle waiting…. Since, my arrival in New Orleans I have been volunteering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and performing production work in the tv/movie industry. This past weekend I worked with a camera team capturing Bonus Feature footage for HBO’s new show “Treme”. I had the priviledge of working around funny man Steve Zahn. A cold day to be working outside, but adventurous and fun none-the-less.

Sunday, Jan. 31st capped off with the 2010 kick-off party for the New Orleans Leukemia Cup Regatta. Yes, I’m getting involved. How could I not?
